Take Action Now: Stop the Arrest and Detention of Palestinian Children

Every year 500 to 700 Palestinian children, including some as young as 6 years old, are arrested and detained by Israeli authorities. The vast majority are held for minor offenses like throwing stones at heavily armored jeeps or soldiers. The children are routinely taken from their homes in the middle of the night, blindfolded and handcuffed, and denied access to lawyers or their parents.

International human rights monitors have documented that Israeli investigators have attained confessions (often false) from Palestinian children through the use of solitary confinement, beatings, withholding food and threatening children with torturing their fathers and raping their mothers and sisters. These practices are inhumane, against international human rights law, and must stop immediately.

Stand with us now. Demand an end to the arbitrary arrest, detention and physical and psychological abuse against Palestinian children by Israeli authorities. Call for criminal investigations of those responsible for violations of international human rights law.
